The tides are high but we’re holding on!

Due to the effects of Cyclone Alfred and some incredibly high tides SeaFire is changing this year, for community safety. 

For the first time you’ll be able to view the same spectacular international fireworks competition from not one location, but four! 

• Surfers Paradise foreshore
• Broadbeach 
• Broadwater Parklands 
• HOTA Parklands 

The show has been modified so you can now see it in each of the four locations, at the one time of 7pm! 

The 18-minute show will showcase the two international competitors Belgium and USA and culminate with a spectacular Aussie fireworks finale. 

SeaFire is a FREE family friendly event and is presented by City of Gold Coast.

ROAD CLOSURES

Surfers Paradise - The Esplanade (from Soul roundabout to Trickett Street) will be closed from 4pm – 12midnight. Detours will be in place along the Esplanade via Staghorn Avenue and Clifford Street, Surfers Paradise Boulevard. Traffic will be diverted by Traffic Management staff.

Additional road closures may be enforced periodically along Surfers Paradise Boulevard to assist with estimated crowds under the direction of Queensland Police Service.

We encourage patrons to take the G:link to Broadwater Parklands, Cavill Avenue and Broadbeach North stations to avoid any potential congestion on the evening. Please see TransLink website for more information on public transport timetables.
