Expected to be launched in 2018, development approval for the new childcare centre marks the continuation of Chevron Renaissance owners Precision Group’s revitalisation of the precinct.
The new facility, to be operated by Rise Early Learning will have capacity for 88 children and be housed within an expansive repurposed floor space on the second level of the CBD complex, comprising an internal area of 669sqm and adjoining outdoor rooftop terrace of 663sqm.
Rise Early Learning Centre Manager, Mel Comerford said the centre would be a place where children will feel safe, secure and nurtured to play and learn in a close knit, home like environment.
“Our vision is to create an early learning environment that will be an oasis for children and their families, right in the heart of Surfers Paradise.”
Chevron Renaissance Centre Manager Gerard Coorey said the new facility would provide an innovative childcare solution in the heart of the Gold Coast, catering to professionals working in Surfers Paradise as well as young families living in the world-renowned beachside community.
“Precision Group is committed to enhancing Chevron Renaissance through this investment in a childcare centre of excellence ideally located within the Centre to meet the needs of our growing community,” Mr Coorey said.
“There are currently more than 6,000 people working in Surfers Paradise along with a thriving residential population, but until now the precinct has been lacking in a quality childcare solution.
“The proposed Chevron Renaissance childcare centre will become the first facility of its kind in central Surfers Paradise, demonstrating our long-term commitment to the residents and working parents of our Gold Coast community,” he said.
Precision Group’s renewal strategy for Chevron Renaissance Shopping Centre continues with significant investment into the Centre to deliver their vision of the precinct being one of the leading commercial and retail hubs in Surfers Paradise.
Extensive works will be undertaken on Level 2 of Chevron Renaissance before the centre opens, including installation of two external classrooms, new fire escape stairs, and an acoustic shade sail.
