With mouthwatering anticipation, our eagerly awaited new restaurant Levendis opened in late August. You may have encountered Kosta’s delicious food at Miami Marketta or other street-food markets around town. So popular is his food, that Kosta has taken the plunge and opened a permanent restaurant at Chevron Renaissance. Located opposite Harmoni-T and just down the street from Betty’s Burgers, we anticipate Levendis doing a roaring trade when the word gets out they’re here!

September is already well underway. Swell Sculpture Festival is on 9-18th September down at Currumbin and then Surfers Paradise Kids week is on from 17th to 23rd September. Perfect to get the kids out of the house during school holidays and doing something colourful down at the beach. Is it just us, or does it feel like we are racing headlong into Christmas season already?

September should see our next new restaurant El Patio de Cuba open. This will probably happen late in the month depending on their fit-out progress. El Patio de Cuba will be serving the very best South American food. Here is the writeup from The Weekend Edition.

El Patio de Cuba: Imagine for a moment you’re in Cuba, the mojitos are flowing, the music draws you in and you’re surrounded by fine food. If you like what you see and are keen to turn this vision into reality, get excited for the opening of El Patio de Cuba at Chevron Renaissance. The lively new venue is the sister of The Cuban Bar & Lounge Dining in Broadbeach and will be opening in coming weeks. Expect all of your classic Cuban favourites including ropa vieja (Cuban meat stew), slow-cooked shredded beef marinated in Cuban spices and barbecued meat alongside plenty of rum and sangria.”

We cannot wait for this opening! Chevron Renaissance will have food from virtually every continent! American, Italian, Mexican, Japanese, South American, Irish… we’ll see if we can rustle up some African food for you next! ;-)

We have to admit, we got a bit swamped with all the openings in August so a couple of our planned social media competitions have been delayed until September. We’re on it though! Keep an eye on our Facebook page to watch out for special offers, discounts, prizes and more. Happening soon - we promise!!

Also, keep an eye out for #tightapptuesday offers. All you need to do is show your Chevron Renaissance Shopping Centre app in store on Tuesdays to receive the chosen store’s discounts. On Saturday or Sunday we’ll give you a sneak peak of the offer on our Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/chevronrenaissanceshoppingcentre), and also make sure you have your push notifications on so the app can message you the offer.

Have a super September everyone!
